BykonzYard · About page · Options to choose from

Two things you flagged.
Pick what you want.

You said the bottom of the About page felt tacky, and that a logo is sitting where a photo should be. Here is each fix, actually built, at real size, so you can look at them side by side rather than imagine them. Nothing here is live yet.

Problem 1

The bottom of the page

“Do we really need this huge section — duplicate palm trees, which says follow the yard, and in partnership coming soon — just seems really tacky.”

Your words

Right now three separate bands run back to back at the bottom of the page: a big “Come celebrate” block, a “COMING SOON” ticker, and a full-height “Follow the Yard” section. Together that is about 1,060 pixels of page carrying 97 words and no photos. The social icons themselves are good — it is the empty space around them that reads cheap. Four ways to fix it below.

Option A

What we have now

The live page today, so the comparison is honest. Three stacked bands on palm artwork.

Option B

One card, everything in it

All three bands collapse into a single card: the closing line, the buttons and the three social tiles together. The “COMING SOON” ticker is gone.

Option C

Keep the closing block, shrink the socials to one line

Your “Come celebrate” block stays as the page ending. Under it, the three socials become one thin strip instead of a full section. Ticker gone.

Option D

Socials go in the footer, page ends on the CTA

No “Follow the Yard” section at all — the icons live in the footer that is already on every page. The About page ends cleanly on a slimmer closing block.

Problem 2

The panel next to “Building the culture”

“The building culture of Bykonz Yard — why have we got a logo there? We have a plethora of images that we could be using and we've decided not to.”

Your words

Fair. To be straight with you: the logo is there because on 4 September you asked for it — “the picture will probably be the BykonzYard logo, the original.” You are allowed to change your mind, so here is the logo kept as Option A alongside three photo versions. Same block, same copy, same numbers — only the picture changes.

Option A

The logo (what we have now)

The original logo in the gold frame — what you asked for in September, kept here so you can see it against the alternatives.

Option B

The packed room

A full room from above — decks at the back, the BykonzYard mark on the wall behind the DJ. This is the strongest “building the culture” proof you have: it shows the crowd and the brand in one frame.

Option C

Photo, with the logo kept as a small badge

A daytime shot of real people under the palms, with the palm-and-note mark tucked in the corner. You get the photo without losing the brand mark entirely.
